Eggs is a Parisian indie rock band formed in 2017 by Charles Daneau (guitar, vocals), Grégoire Bayart (drums), Léo Deville (keyboards), and Manolo Freitas (bass). The initial tracks leaned towards jangle pop and lo-fi post-punk, reminiscent of bands like Television Personalities or The Clean.
After releasing three EPs between 2018 and 2019, Rémi Studer joined on drums, and Grégoire Bayart switched to guitar. The band's sound evolved to include influences from indie rock bands like The Replacements or Guided by Voices. The group's first album A Glitter Year was released in 2022 with contributions from Margaux Bouchaudon (vocals, guitar) and Camille Fréchoux (saxophone and trumpet) from the band En Attendant Ana. This occasional participation turned into a long-term collaboration.
In 2023, Erica Ashleson (vocals) and Cyprien Vandenbussche (saxophone) joined the project. The band released its new album Crafted Achievement in November 2024 with the addition of Côme Ranjard on steel guitar.
